A Master Black Belt (MBB) is an expert in DMAIC methodologies specifically trained to coach and mentor quality-improvement teams and dedicated full time to Six Sigma quality. This individual is not a member of any project team but serves instead as an expert resource for multiple teams. The MBB participates in project reviews, helps the team obtain required resources, provides training for Black Belts and Green Belts, and ensures the rigor of the DMAIC methodology is maintained.
